LEXINGTON, Ky.--Kristen Vanderveen on Faustino De Tili won the International Two Phase CSI4* International show jumping competition, previously known as a power and speed class, at the National Horse Show on Friday, Nov. 5.

Bernardo Costa Cabral of Portugal set an eight-obstacle first-phase track, and all that were clean would advance to the six-fence speed phase.
After placing second in Thursday’s $72,900 International Welcome Stake CSI4*, Kent Farrington blazed through the course on Austria 2, stopping the timers in 32.12 seconds, then Aaron Vale on Major, Vale turned in an even faster time of 30.45.
As the second to last to go, Vanderveen was speedy as ever on Faustino de Tili, to post a time of 30.18 seconds for the win.
Vale was second and Farrington was third.
EARLIER in the day, Grace Debney on Boheme de La Roque won the $10,000 Junior Jumper class with Mimi Gochman second and thirdon Celina BH and Dolores BH, respectively.
Natalie Dean on Dotcom D’Authuit, clean in 51.558 seconds, won the $10,000 Amateur-Owner Jumper class.
Second place went to Vanessa Hood on Lou Lou VLS, clean in 53.812, and Samantha Kasowitz on Charlie was third, finishing in 56.263 seconds.
LAENA ROMOND of Katonah, N.Y., on Traveller won the $50,000 National Horse Show Hunter Classic.
The Champion and Reserve Champions of hunter sections that competed over jumps at the 3’3” height or higher qualified for the Classic.
Patricia Griffith, Scott Stewart, Jean Sheptoff, Kat Fuqua and Clara Propp each had two mounts apiece in the class.
Following the first round, the top 12 scoring above an 85.62 returned for the second round.
Of the 12, the top three horses were close with tied scores of 89.5 for Romond on Traveller, Griffith on S & L Exxon Hedonist and Stewart on For Always.
Caroline Ingalls and Concerto followed closely behind the leading trio with a first-round high score of 88.12 from judges Jennifer Bauersachs and John French.
Romond and Traveller won the $50,000 National Horse Show Hunter Classic, with Griffith on Silver Lining second and Ingalls and Concerto third.
The top three scoring junior and amateur athletes received an additional $5,000 bonus to be split between them.
Ingalls was the highest scoring amateur athlete, for an additional $2,500.
Clara Propp was the top junior for an additional $2,500.
The second-highest scoring amateur and junior received $1,500, while the third-highest scoring pairs received $1,000.
