GENESSEO, N.Y.--Kathy Neilson saddled Irv Naylor's Withoutmoreado (Ire), ridden by Eric Poretz, to win the $25,000, 3 1/2 mile Genessee Valley Hunt Club Timber Stakes at the Genessee Valley Hunt Races on Saturday, Oct.12.

Withoutmoreado won by 1 length over Goodoldtimes (Ire), trained by Mark Beecher, and Queens Empire (Ire), trained by Jack Fisher.
Withoutmoreado won the 2023 Maryland Hunt Cup but didn't finish this year in either the Grand National or the Maryland Hunt Cup.
"Last spring, he just wasn't as confident as he'd been the year before,"said Nelson. "So we made some changes."
"Eric Poretz really wanted to ride him, so we put him upon Ado on Shawan schooling day," said Neilson. "They got along like peas and carrots. Ado loved Eric. Eric gave him a forward ride,"
"Ado ran and jumped for Eric at Genessee," she said. "He saved his energy and kicked on after the last fence."
"THE NAYLORS would like Ado to go to the Pennsylvania Hunt Cup," said Neilson. "But it depends on the footing. If the ground is too hard, we'll put him away for the winter, until next spring. If the ground is safe, we'll go to the Pennsylvania Hunt Cup."
Leslie Young and Jack Fisher each had a winner at Genessee and remain tied for Trainer, Races Won with 22 wins each, but Fisher maintained his lead in Trainer, Money Won, and, along with the purses he won at Middleburg the same day, is now only $96,800 away from his goal of winning $1 million this year.
Young saddled the Potter Group USA's Uco Valley (Ire), ridden by Freddie Procter, to win the $15,000, 3 mile Maiden Timber by 2 lengths over De Grey Guy, trained by Young, and Hard Game, trained by Neilson.
Fisher trains Storm Team, owned by Sheila Fisher and Northwoods Stable and ridden by Whitney Schweizer, who won the $15,000 Amateur or Apprentice Rider Timber by 1/2 length over Rhythmia, trained by Todd McKenna, and Crealion (Fr), trained by Tom Garner.
