By 2002, we knew we had a powerful way to help animals and we found ourselves in a unique position to do so.
Our daughter, Allison, knew it too.
She envisioned creating a company to reach people needing help for their dogs and horses.
And she had the business acumen to pull it off.
But first a little back story:
Joseph was a man driven by the desire to help ease suffering.
He was also a very smart man.
So, after returning from Vietnam, he focused on his education, achieving his Ph.D. and doing postdoctoral research at M.I.T.
He loved the research but something was missing.
When he discovered the depth of knowledge and the effectiveness of Chinese medicine he knew he had found the tools and concepts he’d been seeking to really help people.
Over the next 20 years, he established one of the first successful acupuncture clinics in KCMO.
He loved helping people, but an injury sustained during the Vietnam war caused a spinal degeneration that eventually made that profession physically impossible to continue.
But he certainly wasn’t done.
He shifted his focus from acupuncture to herbalism and took his herbal skills to a whole new level of formulation.
When my mare Jesse Doe foundered, I asked him to apply his skills and find a solution.
He did.
Then I asked if he could do anything to get rid of the many sarcoids growing on our young horse Willow’s face.
He did that too.
In several weeks, they were gone.
To my delight, the horses loved the herbs, so it was not only effective but easy and fun to help them.
Allison needed an herbal formula for one of her dog’s pulled tendon and another for arthritis.
He did that too.
Across the board, he was having success helping these animals thrive.
Finding how responsive animals are to the right herbal formulas, Joseph went on to develop a line of herbal solutions for some of the most difficult health issues that horses and dogs experience.
And so we began.

In the world of equine sports medicine, the pursuit of safe, effective, and natural supportive therapies is an ongoing conversation. Increasingly, veterinarians are turning to evidence-informed botanical blends to complement traditional treatment protocols, and the results are worth noting.
One such practitioner is Dr. Cierra Dedeker, DVM, of Peak Performance Equine – Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Known for her work with performance horses, seniors, and injury recovery cases, Dr. Dedeker has been incorporating Glacier Peak Holistics' Inflapotion into her wellness toolkit with notable success.
"As an equine sports medicine veterinarian, I am always looking for natural, evidence-informed ways to support healing and optimize performance in my patients," says Dr. Dedeker.
She describes Inflapotion as a gentle yet powerful adjunct that supports healthy inflammatory responses and encourages lymphatic drainage.
"I appreciate that its thoughtfully selected botanical ingredients work synergistically to help the body clear metabolic waste, support immune function, and encourage balanced inflammatory responses," she adds.
Dr. Dedeker notes that whether she’s caring for performance horses, senior patients, or those recovering from injury, she values holistic tools like Inflapotion that complement traditional veterinary medicine.
"Glacier Peak Holistics' Inflapotion has become one of my favorite adjunctive wellness products because it provides a gentle yet effective approach to reducing inflammation, supporting healthy lymphatic flow, and promoting overall vitality," she explains. "It helps my patients achieve improved comfort, mobility, and whole-body health."

I wanted to thank you and just placed a re-order of your miracle formula.
Two days ago, my mare Fay began colicing mildly, and my heart sank.
She is not the healthiest horse to begin with.
I thought, do I give her Banamine now?
Then I remembered, wait! I have a bottle of that colic relief in my tack room.
It’s been there for a long time, maybe five years?
So, I checked her vitals and administered the ECR formula.
Literally 10 minutes later, her whole posture became reanimated, her eyes were bright and wide open, and ears where upright and engaged.
From being stretched out, pointing at her abdomen, head hung low with those sad eyes and flat ears, to pain free and back to normal! In 10 minutes!!
Fay literally looked at me and said THANK YOU MOM!
I’m happy I caught it in the early start of a problem and was able to resolve it so quickly with your product.
Thank you ECR! Jane, Prescott Ariz., on Oct 23.
HE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING!

As horse owners and riders, we invest in our horses' health through routine veterinary care, dental floating, farrier visits, saddle fitting, and proper nutrition.
But one important piece of the puzzle is often overlooked: maintaining the muscles and fascia that allow the horse to move comfortably and perform at their best.
The equine muscular system is made up of more than 700 muscles that work together to create movement, generate propulsion, stabilize joints, and maintain posture.
These muscles don't work in isolation—every stride relies on multiple muscles working together in balance.
When one area becomes tight, weak, or sore, other muscles begin to compensate, altering movement throughout the body and increasing the risk of injury over time.
Bodywork isn't just for injured horses.
Whether your horse is a high-level competitor, a weekend trail partner, or a retired pasture companion, every horse benefits from feeling comfortable in their own body.
Regular bodywork helps improve mobility, support recovery, encourage relaxation, and keep horses moving more freely.
No two horses are alike, which is why every session is tailored to the individual.
By evaluating posture, movement, and areas of tension, treatment can be customized to address each horse's specific needs.
Depending on the horse, this may include hands-on massage, PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy, cupping, and red light therapy to help reduce muscle tension, promote circulation, and support the body's natural recovery processes.
One of the biggest misconceptions about bodywork is that it's only needed when something is wrong.
In reality, regular maintenance often helps identify small restrictions before they become larger problems.
A horse doesn't have to be showing obvious signs of discomfort to benefit from bodywork.
At AG Equine Massage LLC, my goal is simple: to help horses move more comfortably so they can perform, recover, and enjoy their jobs with greater ease.
When horses feel better, they're better able to do what we ask of them—and that's something every horse deserves.

Can your horse benefit for riding in a Dr. Cook Bitless Bridle?
The Dr. Cook Bitless Bridle was developed after years of research.
The design allows gentle effective control with pressure that is distributed evenly around the horses head.
Sometimes when you just can't find a bit that works, trying the Dr. Cook Bitless Bridle could be the answer to your problems.
Going Bitless, no matter what discipline you are in (English or Western) ,even for a short period of time, can be like hitting the refresh button on your computer.
Its also great to have a bitless bridle on hand for situations such as being able to ride right after having your horses dental work done, or on long trail rides where they can graze and drink without the nuisance of having a bit in their mouth.
And being able to take the bit away makes sure your horses bad behavior is not related to the bit you are using.
Older horses with severe tooth loss will be much more comfortable bitless.
Going bitless is great for lesson & therapeutic ridding programs where the rider has not yet developed the skills necessary to ride in a bit.
Transitioning to bitless requires a surprisingly small amount of effort and time, sometimes even in the first ride.
We suggest you start in a small enclosed area (round pen, indoor arena etc).
The Dr. Cook Bitless Bridle is marketed all over the world and used in all disciplines.
Available in English & Western styles starting at $69.95, its easier than ever to go bitless.
It's made in the USA out of premium American materials.
Please also be sure to check out our Breast Collars, Reins, Bridle Accessories, Bracelets and Key Chains!
