FAIR HILL, Md.--Four of the top 10 World Ranked riders, including Boyd Martin of Cochranville, Pa., are competing in the five star division at the fourth annual Maryland 5 star, Oct. 17-20.

The event will once again offer total prize money of $325,000, $300,000 of which is in the CCI5*-L, and $25,000 is in the CCI3*-L event, with the first place finisher in the 5 Star competition winning $100,000.
This year's event features two of the top five riders in in the current FEI World Rankings and four of the top 10 among the 23 entered in the 5 star.
Martin, World number 6, will be competing three horses in the 5 star.
The order of draw has just been announced, and Martin goes first on On Cue, then he goes 12th on Commando 3 and 23rd on Tsetserleg TSF.
OLYMPIAN Tim Price, the World No. 3 who won the 2022 Maryland 5 Star and placed second at the Burghley Horse Trials, will ride Falco.
World No. 5 Oliver Townend, who won this year's Kentucky Three Day event, will ride Ballaghmor Class, and World No. 8 Harry Meade, who placed an incredible third, fourth and 12th place at this year's Burghley Horse Trials, will ride Away Cruising.
In the 3 Star competition (CCI3*), 55 have been entered, and The Dutta Corp. USEA Young Event Horse East Coast Championships has a total of 72 entries.
Martin is also competing Mo Chroi in the 3 star.
The four days of 3 Star and 5 Star Eventing competition features Dressage on Thursday and Friday, Cross-Country on Saturday over courses designed by Ian Stark, and Show Jumping on Sunday.
Along with the competition, there are more than 100 retail vendors, food trucks, a Local Beer, Wine & Spirits Expo, and exclusive event merchandise.
There is an expanded Kids Corner, and the third annual Maryland Corgi Cup is on Sunday.
