Toupie, owned and bred by Wertheimer et Frere and trained by Motion, won the $120,000, 6 furlong Stewart Manor Stakes for 2-year-old fillies on the turf by 2 1/4 lengths at Aqueduct on Nov. 4.
This was Toupie's second win and first stakes win after winning a maiden special weight at Laurel in her first outing in July, finishing second in the Exacta Systems Rosie's Stakes at Colonial in September, then finishing 10 in a Keeneland Stakes in October before her win at Aqueduct.
Madaket Stables' Easter (Fr), trained by Motion, won the $105,500,1 mile Lure Stakes for 3 year olds on the turf by 1/2 length at Santa Anita on Oct. 28.
Easter ran in France in 1920 and 1921 with two wins before being imported in 2022 and since winning two allowance races along with two seconds and a third in allowance races and a fourth in the G1 Man o'War Stakes before winning at Santa Anita.
Robert LaPenta and Madaket Stables' Naptown, trained by Motion, won a $111,600, 7 furlong Maiden Special Weight for 2 year olds by 5 1/2 lengths at Woodbine on Oct.29.
Sycamore Hall Thoroughbreds and Hillwood Stable's Hardspun Reason, trained by Motion, won a $48,900, 1 1/8 mile Allowance race on the turf by 3 3/4 lengths at Laurel on Oct. 26.
BRION saddled Rising Sun Racing Stables' Fun Lovin Criminal to win a $29,800, 1 1/16 mile Claiming race on the turf for 3 year olds and up by a nose at Laurel on Nov. 3.
The evening before, Brion saddled Sterbenz Racing's homebred Two Bronze Stars to win a $26,500, 4 1/4 furlong Maiden Special Weight for Va-bred 2 year olds by 5 3/4 lengths at Charles Town on Nov. 3.
MATZ saddled John T. Behrendt's Tequilera to win a $59,500, 1 1/16 mile Allowance Optional Claiming race for fillies and mares 3 and up on the turf by 1/2 length at Laurel on Nov. 4.
