POTTSTOWN, Pa--Ryerss Farm’s Annual Holiday Open House, scheduled for Dec. 1, has been canceled due to a fire, and Ryerss now needs donations to replace what has been lost.
Early Wednesday morning, Nov. 27, after the horses had left the barn, the electrical panel located in the main barn caught fire as staff and volunteers were arriving for the day.
As a result of the quick response from the Ridge, Ludwigs, Norco, Limerick and Twin Valley Fire Companies, the fire was contained.
Also, supporting the effort, was the Goodwill Ambulance Company.
Unfortunately, there was extensive damage to the offices attached to the barn and the farm will be without power for an unknown amount of time.
THE STAFF and volunteers of Ryerss Farm regret the cancellation of this wonderful annual event.
Thankfully, no horses or people were injured during the fire.
Ryerss Farm can use your help in raising funds to replace a substantial electrical system and rebuild the offices.
You can help through your donation.
Please embrace the spirit of giving by joining the Ryerss Farm Giving Tuesday campaign.
