NORTH SALEM, N.Y.--Lauren Skowlund of Wellington, Fla. on Charlyn won the $10,000, 1.40m Open Jumper on Wednesday, Sept.11, the first day of the Old Salem Farm September Horse Shows, Week 1.
Skowlund was one of 17 in the 1.40m Open Jumper, which featured a winding two-phase course designed by Ken Krome.
Skowlaund was clean in the second phase in 39.754 seconds to win.
Molly Ashe Cawley on La Rosso Lady was second in 40.418 seconds, while Jessica Mendoza of Great Britain on Chapeau PS Z finished third in 41.363 seconds.
Other jumper highlights included the $2,000 1.25m Open Jumper, where Emily Stirling of Pawling, N.Y., was clean in 36.293 seconds to win on Cristal De Menardiere.
Andrew Welles on Dorchester won the $4,000 1.35m Open Jumper, lean in the jump-off in 34.296 seconds.
