FAIR HILL, Md--Sharing, trained by Graham Motion, won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies turf last November, and she is now going to Ascot in England to run in the G1, $250,000 Coronation on June 20.
"She goes next Tuesday, flying out of Indianapolis," said Motion. " My assistant trainer traveled over there last week. She's been to England before, and she'll handle everything over there. It's a shame that none of us can go."
Motion said that he is not going because of the two week quarantine period, and he also said that, even if he went with his family, only he could actually go to the race as Ascot is running without spectators.
"Sharing will run in the Coronation on Saturday." said Motion. "All the purses were reduced, but it's a Grade 1, $250,000 race at a mile on the turf."
Sharing was bred by Sagamore Farm and is owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Gainesway Stable (Antony Beck), and she now has four firsts and a third from five starts with earnings of $787,340, most recentlu having won the Tepin Stakes at Churchill Downs on May 23.
Ascot begins on Tuesday, June 16, and Ascot's races will be carried live on TVG.
MOTION has had three winners in the past 10 days, including Secret Message in the G3, $100,000 Old Forester Mint Julep Stakes at 1 1/16 miles on the turf for fillies and mare 4-years and up at Churchill on May 30.
Racing back in the field in the early going, Secret Message swung five wide on the turn into the stretch and prevailed late to win by a head.
That was the 4-year-old mare's fourth stakes win, and she now has six wins and two seconds from 15 starts and earnings of $416,838.
Motion saddled Maryland Mo to win a $57,630 Maiden Special Weight at 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Laurel on June 1
"Maryland Mo is a Maryland-bred, and he won nicely at Laurel," said Motion of the 3-year-old colt who won the 2 1/2 lengths. "He may go to the Kent at Delaware Park next."
Smile Bryan won a $45,000 Starter Allowance at 1 mile on the turf at Belmont on June 3.
"He won on Belmont's opening day," said Motion. "He'll prpbably go in an allowance next."
Rodney Jenkins saddled Outofthepark to win a $61,908 Allowance race at 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Laurel on June 5.
Outofthe park settled off the pace, was three wide on the far turn and went to the lead in upper stretch and won by 3/4 length.
