WELLINGTON, Fla.--The Kevin Babington Foundation and Canine Support Teams are on a mission to pay it forward.
We're actively seeking Veterans or Equestrians who could use a special companion to enrich their lives.
For over 30 years, Canine Support Teams, a nonprofit committed to raising and training service dogs for individuals with disabilities has passionately served this mission.
More recently, they placed Samantha with Kevin, his faithful service dog and constant companion.
"Samantha has been life-changing for me, attending to my every need, even participating in my regimen of physical therapy. I don’t know what I’d do without her," said Babington.
Samanta has provided Kevin the remarkable gift of independence as well.
She is proficient in the command "get help," instilling in Kevin the confidence to depend on her and to enjoy some solitude when needed.
During that period, the Babington Foundation and Canine Support Teams pledged to raise and train a new four-legged angel to be placed to a disabled equestrian or veteran.
"I'VE WITNESSED firsthand how incredibly vital these marvelous K9s are," said Babington Foundation Chairman Jeff Papows. "Just a few months ago, Canine Support Teams presented a corgi to the father of a fellow equestrian. This individual, a USMC veteran like myself, battles Parkinson's disease and needed assistance retrieving items dropped from his wheelchair throughout the day. Daisy, perfectly sized and of the right breed, proved more than capable. Once again, she became a life-altering companion, providing not just physical assistance but also emotional well-being."
We want to spread the word to Pay It Forward and bless the next Veteran or Equestrian.
