DEVON, Pa. --The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair congratulated the 2023 class of “Devon Legends” who were honored at a black tie event held at
the Main Line’s Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa., on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 14.
These individuals represent the top athletes in equestrian competition as well as those leaders and supporters who have helped make Devon an important heritage show.
The prestigious Legends include renowned Olympians, national champions, and other luminaries contributing to the success of Devon.
Wayne W. Grafton, Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Chairman and CEO paid tribute to these inductees during the third annual event featuring dinner, live music and dancing.
As part of the evening, the 2023 Legends had their portraits taken that will be added to the “Legends Wall” in the Trophy Room at Devon.
“Our 2023 Legends are an extraordinary group of equestrians, stewards and supporters who add to the rich history of our organization. Their contribution to the equestrian world will enhance the Devon experience for future generations,” said Wayne Grafton to more than 175 guests joining in this celebration.
THE FOLLOWING 2023 inductees were awarded their metals at the event:
Olin Armstrong, Pam Baker, Buddy Brown, Charlie Jacobs, Laura Kraut, Walter “Jimmy” Lee, Dr. Betsee Parker, Danny Robertshaw and Joy Slater.
The following individuals were recognized posthumously:

Hope Montgomery Scott (accepted by Wayne W. Grafton)
