SAUGERTIES, N.Y.--The U.S. Dressage Federation announced that HITS, Inc. has been awarded the 2020 USDF Region 8 Championships.
The competition is scheduled to be held Sept.17-20, 2020 at HITS on the Hudson, in Saugerties with Centerline Events serving as show management for the event.
USDF relies on championship hosts and management to provide a top-notch competition experience to showcase the best of the best in Region 8.
USDF is certain that the Centerline Events management team, and the host/organizer HITS, will be able to provide a safe and successful event within COVID-19 USDF best practice considerations, USEF guidelines, and local government restrictions that may exist at the time of the competition.
HITS is excited to have been awarded the 2020 USDF Region 8 Championships.
"I AM pleased to announce that although the New England Dressage Association had to cancel their Fall Festival for this year, dressage riders in the northeast will still enjoy a world-class facility for the Region 8 Championships," said HITS President and CEO, Tom Struzzieri. "Many riders look forward to this Championship each year, so I am happy we were able to step in so this competition could still take place."
The HITS team is looking forward to ending what is expected to be an fantastic season at HITS-on-the-Hudson with the prestigious USDF Region 8 Championships.
Hunter and Jumper exhibitors can look forward to the six-week Great American Summer Series, HITS Championship, and Marshall & Sterling Insurance League National Finals, all followed by a week of dressage competition in the 'Heart of the Hudson Valley'.

Revised for this year due to the COVID-19 environment: The USDF Regional Championship Change of Region Form must be submitted with a $25 fee by Aug. 1.
Change of Region Forms may be accepted from Aug. 2 up to the closing date of the championship region the rider is declaring for, with a fee of $100.
