Joe Davies has three winners at Elkridge-Harford

MONKTON,Md.--Joe Davies saddled three winners, all ridden by son Teddy, at the Elkridge-Harford Hunt Point-to-Point on April 8.

Mr. Fine ThreadsMr. Fine Threads (Photo by Robert Keller)Armata Stables' Mr.Fine Threads was their first winner, taking the 3 mile Novice Hurdle over another Joe Davies trainee, Kinross Farm's Great Road,ridden by Theresa Dimpfel.

"We bought Mr. Fine Threads early this spring,"said Davies. "He's going to the Manor in the maiden race. Great Road is going to the Benjamin Murray at the Grand National."

H. Goolsby, A. O'Donovan & D.Colhoun's Bogey's Image won wire to wire in the Heavyweight Timber over Rhythmia, trained by Todd McKenna.

"Sean McDermott recommended him to us," said Davies. "Sean ran him twice over hurdles, and he won once, then Sean sent him to us. He's run twice over timber and won both times. He's going to the maiden at the Grand National.

Pleasant Prospect Farm''s Brown Delivers won the Amateur Flat race over Tomgarrow (Ire), trained by Leslie Young.

"Brown Delivers won the junior race at the Pennsylvania Hunt Cup," sad Davies. "He was second over hurdles at Warrenton. This was his second win, and he won nicely. He'll go to the maiden hurdle at Great Meadows."

 

WILLIAM DOWLING saddled Kiplin Hall's Renegade River, ridden by Colin Smith, to win the Open Timber wire to wire after holding off a challenge by second placed Paddy's Crown, trained by Emily Hannum.

Brown Delivers Robert KellerBrown Delivers(Photo by Robert Keller)Hannum then saddled Adlestrop Hill's Our Legend (Ire), ridden by Chloe Hannum, to win the Amateur Apprentice Timber over Lonely Weekend, trained by Todd Wyatt.

Wyatt saddled Ann Jackson's Left Blank to win the Open Flat by a neck over Realist, trained by Ricky Hendriks.

The Small Pony was divided, with Pauly Aguilera on Gilbert winning one and Cami Keern on Hoof Hearted winning the second.

Paige Wyatt on Charleston won the Medium Pony,and James Wyatt on Mini won the Large Pony.

Kern also won the Field Master's Chase, Small Pony, on Mallory, and the Medium on Roger That, while Jaidyn Shore on Janey Dancer won the Field Master Chase, Large Pony,and James Wyatt won the Horse section on Prime Prospector.
