COCKEYSVILLE, Md.--Jack Fisher saddled three winners, including in the featured Open Timber, at the Green Spring Valley Point-to-Point on Sunday, April 3.
Leslie Young had two flat winners, as well as placing first, second and third in one flat race and first through fourth in another.
Green Spring Valley enjoyed strong entries, with most races having fields of over five or six entries.
Although Green Spring Valley, with good entries, ran against Brandywine, which struggled for entries, Fisher said he felt Green Spring hadn't hurt Brandywine as most of the trainers came from Maryland.
In fact, Fisher and Young accounted to a large number of the entries, as both had multiple horses entered in different races.
Sheila Williams and Northwoods Stables' Storm Team, ridden by Graham Watters, won the Open Timber by 1/2 length after leading throughout.
Shootist, trained by Todd McKenna, was second after battling through the stretch with Storm Team, while Fisher also saddled Schoodic and Jaleo to place third and fourth.
Bruton Street-US' Notjuddginjustsayin, ridden by Connor Hankins, won the Amateur Apprentice Bowl by 1 length over Worzel Gummidge, trained by Mark Beecher.
Snap Decision made his first start this year in the 1 1/2 mile Training Flat, winning easily by 3 lengths.
FISHER said that all three won easily, but that he hadn't rally cared if they won or not.
Fisher was using the point-to-point as training runs for sanctioned events.
Storm Team and Snap Decision will run next at Middleburg, with Snap Decision aimed for the G1 Iroquois, while Notjudginjustsayin is aimed for the Manor.
Mark Beecher saddled Lucy Goelet's Rocket Star Red, ridden by Brett Owings, to win the Heavyweight Timber, and William Dowling saddled Kiplin Hall's Real Good Man (Ire), ridden by Jamie Neild, to win the Novice Timber.
