WELLINGTON, Fla.--Three new barns are going to be built on the site of the Winter Equestrian Festival, the Wellington International show jumping facility (formerly Palm Beach International Equestrian Center) during the upcoming off season.
The barns are to be built by IDA Development.
Harry Knopp and his IDA team will be building three permanent barns, replacing tents 1, 2 and C that have been used in the past.
The largest barn will have 70 stalls, with the other two barns featuring 56 stalls and 49 stalls, respectively.
Each barn will be in rows of seven stalls.
The barns will include high-quality Barnwalker stalls and seamless, safe and durable Equitan Rubber Flooring in all the stalls and aisles.
THE NEW barn design features an insulated ceiling to keep the barns cool and dampen the sound from rain while maximizing airflow with louvers and three large cupolas.
IDA is also renovating the four permanent barns on the property.
The existing permanent barns have been completely gutted so that Knopp and his team can add Barnwalkers stalls and Equitan flooring in the aisles and stalls.
“We are honored to be selected for this project,” said Knopp. “Our mission is to help Wellington International continue to be the best horse show facility in North America.”
