SARATOGA, N.Y.--The Saratoga WarHorse Foundation is a nonprofit organization “leading the herd” in the area of trauma recovery for military veterans by utilizing horses.
It is not “equine therapy.”
It is rooted in medical science, but adapted in a way that is innovative, empirically-proven, and nobody else is doing.
Over 85 percent of the veterans who graduate from the Saratoga WarHorse program report that their lives noticeably improve, and that they maintain those improvements, even years after participating.
What’s the cherry on top?
Saratoga WarHorse exclusively uses off-the-track Thoroughbreds in their program!
THOROUGHBRED experts agree that this program helps these retired racehorses to trust and to enjoy interacting with humans and other horses which, in turn, makes them more adoptable!
Please join Saratoga WarHorse for its 2020 Armed Forces and Racehorses Virtual Benefit, available online, Aug. 17-23!

“Saratoga WarHorse creates a win-win situation for military veterans and retired Thoroughbred racehorses by providing an effective, nontraditional approach for healing veterans’ invisible battle wounds, and offering retired racehorses rewarding and meaningful work after their racing careers have ended.”

Did you know that there are 65+ military veterans and service members on Saratoga WarHorse’s Wait List?
These are individuals who took the first step in their recovery by making a call and asking for help.
Saratoga WarHorse answered their calls, but needs additional funds to open more program sessions to serve these brave men and women who served our country.
Funds raised from the Armed Forces and Racehorses Virtual Benefit will be reinvested in the program and used to help these 65+ veterans.
