Pedigree Details
Cum Laude is a wonderful combination of Dutch and German bloodlines.
Sire
He is by the Grand Prix sensation Apache, Preferent, who competed at some of the biggest venues in the world, including Aachen, Rotterdam and the World Equestrian Games with Emmelie Scholtens. The pair finished 8th at the World Cup Finals in Göteborg with an 80.782% in the Freestyle. Apache was recognized for his superior movement, particularly the use of his hind leg.
Apache is equally well known as a tremendous sire. He is the sire of six Approved stallions: Cum Laude, Grand Galaxy Win, Hometown, Indian Rock, Improver VDT and Intro K. He’s also the grandsire of three Approved stallions. Apache’s daughters are equally spectacular, with 71% receiving a Star predicate or higher. Apache has numerous Grand Prix offspring, including Gio ridden by Charlotte Dujardin. The duo won five CDI3* and above Grand Prix classes with an 84.04% average in the Grand Prix Freestyle and 81.426% in the Grand Prix Special.
Apache’s dam is Tolanda, Prok. She’s by another Grand Prix legend, Krack C, and out of the Star/Preferent/Prestatie mare Olanda.
Dam
Cum Laude comes from a damline that’s highly recognized for performance success. Two of his siblings sold for very high prices at the prestigious Prinsjesdag Auction.
Cum Laude’s dam is the Preferent/Prestatie mare Pacharel T. She’s by legendary Weltmeyer out of the Rubinstein I Keur/Prestatie mare Kacharel T. Weltmeyer and Rubinstein I are both prolific sires and damsires of dressage talent.
Pacharel T had seven foals who competed in dressage, including two at the Prix St. Georges level and above.
Evangelion (by Painted Black) competes Prix St. Georges in the USA with Mary-Cameron Rollins.
Wandurel (by Ronaldo) was the top selling foal (both dressage and jumping) at the Prinsjesdag Auction, selling for 44,000 euros. Wandurel went on to show in the 2nd ring at the KWPN Stallion Show and compete at 4th Level with Amber den Heyer.
Zacharel (by Krack C) sold in the Prinsjesdag Auction for 30,000 euros, which was the second highest priced dressage foal in 2004. She went on to produce a Prix St. Georges horse.
Pacharel’s brother, Rapsodie T (by Gribaldi), competed in Grand Prix to the CDI4* level.
Guenter Seidel’s current Grand Prix horse, Equirelle W (by Florett As), comes from the same dam line. This pair is currently 130th in the world rankings and has won numerous CDI Grand Prix classes with scores in the 70s. The Prix St. Georges horse Volano ( by Ferro) and the full sister to Equirelle W, the international small tour and Young Riders horse Cavanillas W (by Florett As), are also from the same dam line.
