LEXINGTON, Ky.--Kent Farrington on Grass De Mars won the $31,020 CSI3* 1.45M International Speed class, and Caitlin Boyle won the $31,020 Winning Round class on Friday evening, Nov. 1 at The National Horse Show.

Kent Farrington on Grass De MarsFarrington, going 19th of 21 starters, finished clean in 62.47 to just edge out Simon McCarthy of Ireland on Gotcha, who went just before Farrington and finished clean in 62.71over the course set by Alan Wade.

Farrington and McCarthy were far clear of the rest of the field, with Jessie Springsteen on Naomi van het Kiezershof third in 66.30, followed by Alise Oken on Oraline Van Prinseveld, clean in 66.75, Jimmy Torano on Kochio Z, clean in 68.448 and completing the top six was Beat Mandli of Switzerland on Quintane VD Roshoeve, clean n 72,2.

“Grass De Mars is an 8-year-old horse that I own with Katie Jacobs, and I’m super excited about my partnership with her, said Farrington. "It’s great to have our first international win at the National Horse Show. I’ve been partnered with this horse since Florida and we’ve done a couple 2* Grand Prix, and she came in second at a National Grand Prix so she is coming along nicely.”

BOYLE ON Navaar was clean in 33.73 to win the Winning Round over Brianne Gout-=Marteau on Biance, clean in 34.01, and Alex Matz on Ikigai, clean in 34.79.

In the Winning Round, the top 10 finishers in the first round moved on to the jump-off, so Jimmy Torano on Chewbacca, who had been clean in the first round, was the slowest of the 11 clean so didn't make the jump-off.

Katie Dinan on Amiro B Z was fourth in 35.24,with Charlie Jacobs on Camila 111fifth in 37.20 and Dinan on Out Of The Blue SCF sixth in 39.43.

Campbell Brown on Caiam D’ivraie won the $10,000 Junior/Amateur Jumper,clean in 60.43.

“The plan was to start with a fast canter and then keep it all the way around," said Brown. "I was hoping to do the six in the line which I was able to do nicely. He’s been my partner for a long time so I trust him to do the leave outs. I went in and stuck to my plan which ended up working out because I had a great round that led me to my first win here at the National Horse Show. I have been coming here for a couple years now so it was pretty special to get to come and win on a horse that I love so much.”
