LEXINGTON.Ky.--The Kentucky Three-Day Event offers both four star and five star competition from Thursday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30, with riders from Brazil, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand and the U.S., competing in the five star.
Some of the top riders competing include Olympian veterans Boyd Martin with Tsetserleg TSF, Phillip Dutton with Sea of Clouds and Doug Payne with Vandiver and Quantum Leap from the U.S., previous winner Michael Jung on Fischerchipmunk FIV from Germany, Pippa Funnell with Maybach and Majas Hope and Leslie Law on Voltaire de Tre from Great Britain and Jonelle Price on McClaren from New Zealand.
Other top riders from Pennsylvania include Buck Davidson with Sorocaima, Erroll Gobey and Carlevo and Jenny Brannigan on FE Lifestyle.
ON THURSDAY, four star dressage opens the competition running from 8 am to 11:30, followed by five star dressage from 1 pm to 5:30, and dressage continues Friday with four star from 8 am to 11:30 and five star from 12:30 to 4:30.
Saturday features the cross country, with the four star running from 9 am to 11:15 and the five star running from 12:50 to 4:45.
The final horse inspection is Sunday morning a 8 o'clock, followed by the four star stadium jumping from 11:00 to 12:45.
The five star jumping runs from 2:30 to 4:45 followed by the presentation of awards.
Also competed during Kentucky Three-Day are two open jumper classes, with a speedclass Friday evening st 7 pm and the $225,000 Grand Prix Saturday eveningat 6pm.
