LAKE PLACID, N.Y.--Laura Chapot has been dominating jumper classes at Lake Placid both the first week and now during the second week.
On Friday, July 9, Chapot placed both first and second in one class and then won a second.
Chapot swept the top two places in the $5,000 1.40m Speed Stake Friday at the I Love New York Horse Show, the second of two weeks of the 2021 Lake Placid Horse Shows.
Chapot also won the $1,500 1.35m Jumper class.
Chapot turned in two of seven clean rides over the 13-jump, one-round course designed by Ken Krome in the $5,000 Speed Stake.
She claimed the win on Out of Ireland with the fastest time of 58.275 seconds while also placing second with a time of 58.525 seconds on Thornhill Kate.
Third place went to Alex Matz on Jasmijn Van De Renthoeve who finished clean in a time of 59.661.
Chapot also took top honors in the $1,500 1.35m Jumper class.
Riding Calamanda 3, Chapot turned in the fastest clean ride over the one-round course, finishing in a time of 59.136 seconds.
Second place went to Devin Ryan who finished clean in 60.023 seconds on Ascalitta SBK Z.
