Warrior's Reward, a graded stakes winner and sire of stakes winners

DELTA, Pa.--Warrior's Reward, Pennsylvania's leading active sire in 2020 who stands at WynOaks Farm in Delta, sired stakes winners at eight tracks, including Saratoga and Del Mar, last year.

Warrios Reward 1His first crop of Pa-breds will be 2 year olds in 2022 and will begin racing.

Warrior's Reward, by Medaglia d'Oro out of For All You Do, by Seeking the Gold, a G1 winner, was an outstanding race horse who won four races, placed second five times and third twice from 17 starts and earned $565,716.

He broke his maiden in 2009 at Gulfstream as a 3-year-old in his first start and went on to win an allowance race at Churchill Downs, to finish second in the G3 Northern Dance Stakes at Churchill, third in the G2 Dwyer Stakes at Belmont and second in the G2 Jim Dandy Stakes at Saratoga.

The following year, he won the G1 Carter Stakes at Aqueduct and was second in the G2 Churchill Downs Stakes, third in the G3 Phoenix Stakes at Keeneland and the fifth in the G1 Breeders' Cup Sprint.

He finished his racing career by hitting the board in six graded stakes at five different track.

Warriors 3As a sire, Warrior's Reward has sired 17 stakes winners, including his most recent winner, She's My Warrior, who won the  $100,000 Norther Lights Debutante Stakes at Canterbury Park on Sept. 8.

He is the sire of 31 lifetime black type runners, including G1 winner Exclusivo.

He is the sire of four horses that have won over a half a million dollars, and his top lifetime winners include graded stakes winners Night Ops, Warriors' Club and Axelrod.

In 2019 at sales, his 2-year-olds sold for up to $370,000.

Warrior's Reward covered 115 mares in 2019.

"We're pretty excited not only about the crop size, but the quality of the foals," said Donny Brown, one of Warrior's Reward's owners.

Warrior's Reward will stand for $5,000, with special consideration to mares foaling in Pennsylvania.
