COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Its standout performance during September earned the U.S. Show Jumping Team Best of September honors for the Team USA Awards presented by Dow, the United States Olympic Committee announced.
The U.S. Jumping Team won a historic gold medal at the FEI World Equestrian Games in a thrilling jump-off against Sweden.
The team of Laura Kraut of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., Devin Ryan of Long Valley, N.J., Adrienne Sternlicht of Greenwich, Conn., and McLain Ward of Brewster, N.Y., each delivered strong individual performances to help the U.S. win its first world jumping title since 1986.
Their performances also secured Team USA a national team quota spot for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Also earning Best of September honors were indoor volleyball player Matt Anderson of West Seneca, N.Y., and shooter Caitlin Connor of Winnfield, La.
